Under contract for a house 150 feet from highway and am freaking out
Chicago housing market is brutal. Open houses Saturday and offers in by Monday at noon so didn’t have much time to think things over. The highway is about 150 feet. It’s elevated and higher than my house (not sure if that’s good or bad) and now I’m freaking out about health concerns.
The noise really isn’t that bad, especially inside where you don’t even hear it. But how screwed am I health wise. Bought an Air Things to measure the quality, and will definitely be buying purifiers. Is my health seriously at risk or will I be fine? Planning to live there for 7-8 years.
