Unpopular opinion

I feel like boredom kills stories faster than toxicity, or wildfire

Like, in terms of authors writing, not for all obviously, but i feel like a single writer working for months on end on a singular project, with everyone just making sterile, quarantined discussions, kills the passion faster than a heated one with more freedom

Not saying that going into full blown riot, and hate train on a topic is justified, no, but i feel like there is a right balance to be had

Maybe it isn't a unpopular opinion, and i'm just looking at it from a biased perspective, but i personally find discussions and communication about stories to be too much like entering a sleeping baby's room without making a noise to let them sleep

TLDR; Passionate, slightly controversial and heated discussions keep author's more interested in writing, as long as it doesn't devolves into an obsession, in comparison to just hyper monitoring whatever discussion is being had
