Looking at a '22 X5 M50 w/70k - oil only changed every 10k...
I found a clean 22 X5 M50 with the options I want, but the carfax showed the oil was only changed at the factory recommended 10k intervals until now (~70k miles). Given that the N63 engine is more trouble-prone than the B58, would that stop you from buying it? It's being sold by a dealer so ordering an oil test or any analysis like that isn't feasible.
BTW, the primary reason I'm going for the M50i is because I'm an audiophile and I want the Bowers & Wilkins audio system. I've heard it against the HK and it simply blows it away, so I've decided I won't buy an X5 without it. While I would prefer the x40i with the B58 for better mileage and reliability, the B&W was only offered on it for the first two years of G05 production, so I've only seen one for sale in the wild and that was a while back.
So - back to topic - what would you do? And is 70k too high of a starting point to get into a vehicle I plan to keep for a few years, but would not be my sole daily driver.
