Door Closer

Question 1: How do I separate the elbow on this door closer? The joints at the elbow and where it connects to the door jamb are smooth with no screws or bolts, and the end that connects to the door has a bolt connecting it to the valve, but the arm will not lift off when I remove it. Question 2: What is this piece on the jamb end in the third picture? I've been Googling for longer than I want to admit and I can't find a single mention or picture of this piece on any kind of door closer. I even tried a Google lens search to no avail.

Desigo

Is anyone familiar with Desigo software? I started with my current employer about 6 weeks ago and they just got me access to the software a couple weeks ago. A rep from our building controls vendor came in one day and gave me a 30-45 minute crash course, and I can navigate the site ok and know what I'm looking at, but I'm totally lost when it comes to actually DOING anything in it. For example, right now one of our areas is reading much warmer than it should be. The software shows the RTU for that area is running fine, but is putting out 78-degree air when it is set to 72. I just want to adjust the temperature to see if that does anything, but I don't know how to do that. Does anyone have any tips/tricks for Desigo?

Dog Slobber Stripping Paint

I work in an animal shelter and we currently have a dog that drools/slobbers more than I've ever seen lol. He is literally coating the inside of his door with so much slobber that it's stripping the paint. Like, there's a PUDDLE of blue slobber/paint mixture at the bottom of his door. Does anyone have any recommendations for something I could coat the door with that would protect the paint but wouldn't be toxic to animals?
