AI tools are speeding up development, startups are launching products faster, and companies now expect developers to understand not just coding, but also cloud, AI, automation, security, and product thinking.

What’s interesting is that smaller teams are building products that previously required huge engineering departments. Frameworks like Flutter, AI copilots, low-code tools, and cloud platforms are changing how software gets built.

At the same time, competition is becoming global. Companies no longer hire only locally, which means developers everywhere are competing on skills, speed, and adaptability.

Honestly, it feels like software development is moving from “just coding” to “problem solving with technology.”
