It was amazing they had a 6 figure turn out but let’s not act like it was some impossible feat and saying that Americans don’t show up when they host.

France hosted only 1 other race this Calendar year. Fans are eager to get to the event because they don’t have them as much as the US with 30 out of 38 weekends had SMX races.

France was also a favorite going in, so obviously fans want to watch a win. Netherlands, Spain, and Belgium were also top contenders going. All 3 capital cities are with in a train ride or short flight.

Compare that to cost of flights to the US and getting to little Indiana.

Let Australia host to get a fair comparison instead of the little European bubble.

Get the 719 off the track. He’s a repeat offender. Blocking all 5 championship guys while being shown multiple blue flags. He wasn’t racing for points and it’s the finale.

If ever there was a time he should move over it was tonight, and he didn’t even slow up.

Administration needs to send a message

Now that we are 4 years in, I think a few changes will fix the playoffs

1. Move the playoff races to Friday night. The playoffs fall during football season and college football Saturdays. They are competing for TV time slots which is why we are getting these weird mid afternoon times and it’s hurting viewership but also the people in attendance. The 16 Seeded riders and 10 Wildcard riders are part of race teams, not privateers, so getting to the races on Thursday is not an issue.

This would also allow Saturday to be for WMX, SX Next, and any other amateur groups they want without delaying the pro schedule and track maintenance.

2)True SMX. I don’t care which of the 2 options but either:

A)Round 1 Supercross, Round 2 Motocross, Round 3 Hybrid

B) 3 Rounds of true Hybrid or at least long supercross tracks like Daytona.

The fact that last nights race had a quicker lap time than nearly every supercross race, is a problem. Option A would be harder with the double/triple points unless both rounds 1 and 2 were single points.

3. Slight change to the points payout. Double and triple points has surprised many because multiple riders still have a chance at the last round

The Olympic style scoring makes it interesting because it makes you have to be good in both motos. The only issue I have is the tiebreaker going to the second moto. If riders tie then they should split combined points

For example if a 2 riders tie for first then they get combined points of first and second. Currently, the one with the better second moto like last night, get all 50 points and second gets 44. In a new tied format they would both get 47.

Last night there was a moment where HL could have gone 4/1, HD 2/3, JP 3/2, and KR 1/4. Hunter would have gotten 50 points and Ken 36. They both would have a win and a 4th with a 14 point difference. That really devalues Moto 1 in the double and triple points available. Ken winning a moto still places behind 2 guys without a moto win that night.

4)Broadcast everything, even if it’s on YouTube. The fact that they were able to broadcast the wild card race this week with a 2 hour pre race show, but last week we got nothing. Last week was even worse because they vamped for 2 hours on race day live with no content, and when there was bikes on the track with big names trying to make the main event, people were checking twitter updates.

They obviously had success and sponsorship to do press day at motocrosss the first time, that it made sense to do it the rounds after.

I’d love to know what else people are thinking, but these are fixes that are needed now that it’s 4 years in.

450s

Hunter now has the weight of a championship off his back and can now try to find another gear to match healthy Jett.

Jett just missed a championship with a bum ankle. He will find that next gear with Hunter as he heals

For both the Lawrence’s they both showed weaknesses and mistakes when they were challenged. It hasn’t happened much in the past, but they will have more than just a brotherly battle to worry about going forward.

Haiden got a lot of hate, some of it deserved, but also checked a lot of boxes. He finished 3rd in the championship, finished all the motos, came through the pack, and showed he’s closer to the Lawrence’s than nearly the rest of the field. He’s still got a gap to make up but now he’s a full time 450 guy and the excuses are out the window.

Jorge finished the year to give us all a picture of what he can do. There’s 2 big questions going into 2027. Can he do it even when it’s not the perfect track for him and how does he handle possibly being the #2 guy in his truck. However having Lucas, should push him to another level like the brothers do.

Lucas showed he’s got the speed to compete with these guys. Now can he stay healthy on a new set of tracks to him while having to go the speed to keep up with these guys for 11 races. He’s got experience at the top level so he can’t use the learning excuse.

Chase is going to need to figure it out quick or he won’t ever sniff another title. 5 guys are younger, more consistent, and currently faster than him. His best hope is going to STAR because he needs to ride with top 5 speed weekly if he thinks he’s going to find it.

250s

Cole could be the first defending 250 champion to not be favored going into the year. He’ll likely win another SX title and come in with no pressure. He’s got top 5 speed and consistency.

Sacha is going to be the fastest guy in the class, but can he make it all 11 rounds. The MX schedule is a little less demanding than MXGP. Hopefully that helps build consistency with his raw speed.

Chance fully healthy and now making it a full year with his top speed is likely going to make him the American favorite in the championship.

Jo can win races and rack up consistent top 5 points if he can avoid the big one crash.

Levi needs to figure out starts or he’s toast. This field will not be kind to coming through the pack much less outside the top 10.

Juju needs to find that F-U speed. He’s shown he’s fast at a controllable speed but that won’t be enough to make podiums.

Ryder, Mumford, Seth and others like them need help to be in the title fight. They are fast but not enough to compete with the top guys at their best.

This is not saying these guys will be in the Top 10 every week, but if anyone not on this list:
-Won an overall it would be mind blowing
-Won a moto it would be out of nowhere
-Made a podium, then a bunch of guys went down

If every rider in the field completed every race, I think this would be the top 10 in points at the end of the year.

Would love to know who else people think can make the cut, but you’d be surprised by the guys listed almost all have a top 3 overall in the last 2 years. Nearly everyone not listed has barely sniffed a Top 5 in the last 2 years.

For reference, Mookie finished 7th in points last year, yet did both finish better than 6th in any overall event and did not place better than 5th in any moto.

Shoutout to the [BUSH] for recording and sharing their dealings with these bottom tier pro teams.

They showed it previously dealing with Carolina but these latest talks with C9 to pickup wevy , show the true scum nature of these orgs.

Before any of that, the players also need to check their representation. Wevy’s “agent” not understanding how contracts work. He seemed very confident going in that his client was going to get offers, if that’s the case then don’t sign with a challengers team. They are bringing you extra exposer, so just go with a pickup team and live with the results you get. Signing a deal is guaranteeing a spot if teams don’t come calling.

C9 telling Bush that they have him in “jail” over a few thousand dollars is insane. Bush do have him locked up so teams won’t prey on him. If a better team like G2 or Gentlemates come calling, then the Bush give him time instead of a team like C9 forcing them to sign bad deals.

Sas calling out the C9 rep for saying that Wevy was going to cover half the buyout, then the guy trying to cover it up. Basically taking the money out of Wevys cut for EWC which is not even C9s money. (All CDL teams guaranteed a spot for EWC is BS, giving teams a free 20k just because they are in the league)

This really makes me call into question how bad their deals are for all players. I think they are writing into the deals that players Winnings deduct from what they are owed as Salary.

Lastly C9 thinking $2k is fair because it covers just Wevy. The challenger orgs are investing in full teams, and not just one person. They are taking the risk to fund teams and get them to events. Trying to say they should accept breaking even when taking all the risk is just sad.

I hope more teams and players expose this unacceptable business practices by CDL teams, and are not afraid to do so. It will put more pressure on these teams to sell their spots.
