MXoN Roster USA

MXoN Roster USA

Assuming all are healthy. Who do we think takes the 3 spots this year?

I think Deegan is a lock if he chooses to go, but he has to come out of the playoffs uninjured

The Open Class bike spot is interesting and I think may decide or be decided by the 250 spot

Tomac obviously has the history and should be considered but I don’t think he’s in form and don’t think he will be by the time that have to make a decision. Having JB on the 250 may help his case

JCoop paid his dues taking the 250 spot, but still needs to show up these last 2 rounds to prove he’s back from the injury. He also has the advantage of being on deegs team so same team, parts, etc. saves the AMA money.

Hampshire outside of a few crashes has been a consistent rider and was on the team last year. His downfall is being on a Team different from Deegan and all of the 250 options.

Marchbanks is clearly the 2nd fastest American as of late in Motocross. His benefit is that he shares a manufacturer with Levi who seems like the top 250 option. His only downfall is he’s not been selected in the past like the previous 3.

The MX2 spot seems wide open

Levi is the fastest USA rider on a 250 but his starts are a cause for concern being that he will be taking gate drops vs 450s.

Beaumer has been consistent with both starts and finishes unlike Levi. He’s not been the best of the 3 but the most consistent.

Hymas is getting better each week, but will it be enough by the time a decision is made. He’s similar to Hampshire where he may be the odd man out by manufacturer, he should be hoping for a JCoop selection

The relevant thing to consider is that typically team USA only sends 2 manufacturers per year especially in years that it’s overseas. I think the MX2 and Open spot are very intertwined based on how team USA operates.

So to summarize each option based on that

Deegan + JCoop = pick any 250, and it’s likely hymas best shot.

Deegan + Tomac = Probably Julien

Deegan + Levi or Marchbanks = Levi or Marchbanks

WSX confirming some new rides

With Webb being on the same team as Hill, it tells us what we already knew.

Interesting to see Anstie on that same team. Could that mean a move to KTM/Husky Tedder 250 ride?

Vialle wildcard

PS- betting Mike Alessi holeshot
Anderson preparing for SX

48 spots for 2027

Not predicting rosters, but here are the names to make up 48 players in the league next year. Some of these will start to take shape after this Major because contracts end after champs but before EWC for most bottom teams.

I don’t think I’m 100% correct. However as I see it there’s roughly 32 players who keep a league spot. Then I think there’s about 8 guys in challengers that move up or move back up to the league. That leaves only about 8 spots left for a lot of current league names and challengers talent to fight for.

For the first time, I think we start to see less friendship teams forming. We’ve seen more midyear moves than ever before and teams looking for new talent instead of recycling old names.

Top 10 Riders for Outdoor

These are the top 10ish guys for both 450 and 250 going into the Motocross. This list is not in order

450s
-Jett
-Hunter
-Prado
-Sexton
-Tomac
-Deegan
-J. Cooper
-Ferrandis
-RJ Hampshire
-L. Coenen (when he races), AP if he races

250s
-Davies
-Kitchen
-Hammaker
-Shimoda
-Hymas
-Ryder D
-Mosiman
-ClubMX truck (Simmonson, Schock, Yoder)
-If either is fully healthy for a race Swoll and Beaumer

This is not saying these guys will be in the Top 10 every week, but if anyone not on this list:
-Won an overall it would be mind blowing
-Won a moto it would be out of nowhere
-Made a podium, then a bunch of guys went down

If every rider in the field completed every race, I think this would be the top 10 in points at the end of the year.

Would love to know who else people think can make the cut, but you’d be surprised by the guys listed almost all have a top 3 overall in the last 2 years. Nearly everyone not listed has barely sniffed a Top 5 in the last 2 years.

For reference, Mookie finished 7th in points last year, yet did both finish better than 6th in any overall event and did not place better than 5th in any moto.

Expose the trash Orgs

Shoutout to the [BUSH] for recording and sharing their dealings with these bottom tier pro teams.

They showed it previously dealing with Carolina but these latest talks with C9 to pickup wevy , show the true scum nature of these orgs.

Before any of that, the players also need to check their representation. Wevy’s “agent” not understanding how contracts work. He seemed very confident going in that his client was going to get offers, if that’s the case then don’t sign with a challengers team. They are bringing you extra exposer, so just go with a pickup team and live with the results you get. Signing a deal is guaranteeing a spot if teams don’t come calling.

C9 telling Bush that they have him in “jail” over a few thousand dollars is insane. Bush do have him locked up so teams won’t prey on him. If a better team like G2 or Gentlemates come calling, then the Bush give him time instead of a team like C9 forcing them to sign bad deals.

Sas calling out the C9 rep for saying that Wevy was going to cover half the buyout, then the guy trying to cover it up. Basically taking the money out of Wevys cut for EWC which is not even C9s money. (All CDL teams guaranteed a spot for EWC is BS, giving teams a free 20k just because they are in the league)

This really makes me call into question how bad their deals are for all players. I think they are writing into the deals that players Winnings deduct from what they are owed as Salary.

Lastly C9 thinking $2k is fair because it covers just Wevy. The challenger orgs are investing in full teams, and not just one person. They are taking the risk to fund teams and get them to events. Trying to say they should accept breaking even when taking all the risk is just sad.

I hope more teams and players expose this unacceptable business practices by CDL teams, and are not afraid to do so. It will put more pressure on these teams to sell their spots.
