Do banks give mortgages when you are married but are going for the sole owner and sole borrower? I am a first time buyer. The problem is my wife is not a resident in Ireland. So she won't be in the deed. That's why planning for a sole mortgage. But I called a broker today and they said only AIB will give a mortgage in this case, no point appointing a broker. Should I try another broker? Has anyone gone through a similar process?
