The Unfortunate Reality of Deadlock: A Systematic Bogeyman We Are Forced to Worry About So We Don’t Ask Our Basic Survival Questions

The gov is manipulating us into thinking you will face what you faced if Amharas or Tigres came to power Bullshit!. So that you don’t ask anything about life, he wants to keep the status of the ethnic question for a long period of time, so that we forget our basic rights and live like slaves.

Let me be honest with you all, it’s not that we are in any form or place where ethnic-based threats come to Oromos, nor do I believe that our neighbors stop wondering why we exist in our country. I always strongly recommend an independent Oromia so that we don’t deal with this type of people. That is the reason why I support OLA; there is nothing that we gain.

But seriously, are we going to ignore that we are being used as a tool? That the same person talking about how he was predetermined or prophesied to be a king by his mother, oppressing our people 4–5 years ago, being on the other side, and to finally be the final piece of his grand plan to keep this ethnic tension so that we are in fear or in hate of our neighbors, that we forget our future?

As a 24-year-old person living in Oromia, minding my own business and never caring about which ethnic group a person comes from, where the money comes from, or what language they speak, seeing my future and my generation stuck in this scheme is the biggest risk to my business and my life.

When is the independence? When will it take place, and how?

When is the independence? When will it take place, and how?

Oromia is filled with people who hate Oromos. It’s filled with people who undermine us and do not even want to learn and know our language and culture. It was even considered cringe to dance and sing Oromo music. It’s filled with people who consider us migrators, who were taught throughout their literal entire generation that we came from Madagascar and do not own anything, and that it’s theirs to take.

It was only recently that our language even became legal and that we were able to speak it properly. We were culturally forced to change our names even my name and my brother’s name to get better chances in life.

It’s filled with people who say Addis is for all Ethiopians and repel Oromo. You guys remember the recent protests about an Oromo school being opened and the Oromia regional anthem being sung in Addis. Dude, there are literally German and dead-language Ge’ez schools. For how long are we going to tolerate this? F this Ethiopia. F Addis people with neftegna ancestry. Don’t bother us; just leave us alone.

I just see it every day the devil in them. Even their little Fano fight is for Menelik 2.0. When they ask me where I’m from and I say Adama, they reply, “Nazret.” I’m tired of bickering with these sorts of colonizer mindsets

Anyone taking sympathy of this people is an absolute fools, if anything we should just let them leave our region peacefully. There should be legal framework for which this people are returned to thier hateful regions and leave us alone
