Can’t decide for our honeymoon…

Hi everyone, for our honeymoon we’re going on our very first cruise, but we still can’t fully decide between two options. Both have pros and cons, so we’d love to hear what others think…

Option 1
- Ship with staff speaking our native language
- More personal atmosphere
- 2,600 passengers
- Slightly more exclusive and luxurious (adults only)
- Midship balcony cabin on a lower deck (better for seasickness, which I struggle with), but with partially obstructed view
- Good food
- Sails around the Canary Islands and Lisbon, plus Morocco (Casablanca and Agadir)
- Wide variety of live music entertainment
- Shows onboard
- €2000 over our budget, and excursions would still be extra

Option 2
- Ship with English-speaking staff (we both speak English perfectly fine)
- Larger ship, so less personal
- 5,700 passengers
- Family-oriented cruise line
- Midship balcony cabin halfway up the ship (still good for seasickness, but slightly less ideal) in a premium balcony cabin
- Free spa access and an exclusive sun deck included because we booked the highest balcony category (mainly because children are allowed onboard)
- Dining in a separate restaurant away from the majority of passengers
- Food quality is slightly less good (although because of my illness I already don’t eat much anyway 😂)
- Sails around the Canary Islands and Lisbon, plus Vigo (Spain) and Madeira (Portugal) - Madeira has been on my bucketlist for a long time. But the cities in Morocco are definitely appealing to me as well.
- Shows onboard
- Within budget
