I recently met someone unexpectedly at a fair/exhibition while discussing flooring and interior materials for my family’s house construction. He owns the business stall I visited, and we ended up connecting very naturally. What started as a normal conversation about work slowly turned into hours of talking over several days. On the final night of the fair, we spent almost the entire evening together, talking deeply about life, family, goals, travel, music, cafés, hiking, and personal experiences. We eventually drove to an ocean viewpoint, spent hours talking there, and shared a very mutual and emotional first kiss — it was the first kiss for both of us.
Since then, we’ve stayed in contact. He gave me his personal number, has called me, and still replies and updates me even while traveling between countries for work and family/religious events. However, I feel some slight awkwardness or emotional distance after the kiss, and I’m unsure whether it’s just overthinking, nervousness, or something deeper.
I’m not necessarily looking for a romantic prediction. I mainly want insight into the emotional energy and connection between us: whether this connection feels genuine, meaningful, temporary, friendship-based, romantic, or something that may naturally grow over time.
