Sea of Sorrow was kinda disappointing - my honest review six months later

I can't beleive that Sea of Sorrow/ZoteBote is already out for 6 months, but after some time I have to say that it was very disappointing.

Honestly, the release date change to late 2025 and the sudden name change to ZoteBote was alarming, but we all didn't want to see the truth. It already was clear at the time that Team Cherry had been forced by their investors to rush the DLC out unfinished and to use this clickbaity title - Zote isn't even mentioned once in this DLC! I really expected more from Team Cherry, apparently they didn't even take the time to research how to correctly spell "boat"! At least they finally added the SilkPass™ for 19,99 a month.

But now to the "content" which was no less disappointing than this questionable release strategy. Starting the DLC in the Putrified Ducts was an amazing idea, since this area felt a little bit to small and empty in the base game, but instead of locking it behind a fun challenge like the double Savage Beastfly or a Spit Squit arena, they just made us fight Lace again but this time, she is pink. I still vividly remember how hyped I was after the boss when we entered the Lifeblood Laboratory with this cool leaked submarine cutscene, but in now I am noticing how this cutscene only manages to run with 10 FPS on my RTX5090. I understand that the graphics with the Unity Engine 5 are very demanding, but even EA does better optimisation than this. Then, after 10 minutes of a blue version of the Moss Grotto, we finally reach the boss "Ultimate Life Blood Mother", which was kinda fun but also a bit easy. Couldn't they at least remove the floor for a bit more challenge?

But then we already reached the end of the DLC, less then one hour of content for 60$! I fear the downfall of Team Cherry has begun.

0/10 Game, I expected more from ZoteBote.
