My humble pizza setup at The Sthaan

Started making pizzas because I wanted to create something people would remember after visiting the mountains.

It's a simple setup, but there's something satisfying about making everything from scratch and watching it come out of the oven exactly as planned.

Today's result 🍕

Solo Camping Above Base Camp Theli/Bhrigu Lake – One of the Best Views I've Ever Woken Up To

Last week I decided to do a solo camping trip towards Bhrigu Lake in Himachal Pradesh. I started early in the 6 am from Vashisht, where I stay at THE STHAAN, and slowly made my way through forests, meadows, and endless mountain views.

After a long climb (5-6 hours), I found this beautiful spot to pitch my tent (theli). Waking up here was unreal — a sea of green meadows below, clouds rolling over the ridges, and the mighty Pir Panjal range standing right in front of me.

No phone notifications, no traffic, no noise. Just the sound of the wind and a sky full of stars at night.

Solo camping can be challenging, but moments like these remind me why I keep coming back to the mountains.

Have any of you camped around Bhrigu Lake or explored similar alpine meadows in Himachal?

One of the small joys at The Sthaan: collecting fresh eggs with mountain views 🥚⛰️

Today one of our guests asked if they could feed the chickens.

Ten minutes later they were naming them. 😄

Sometimes the best travel experiences aren't famous attractions—they're the simple moments: feeding chickens, collecting fresh eggs, watching clouds move through the valley, and slowing down for a while.

That's a normal morning at The Sthaan, Vashisht, Manali.

Most visitors to Manali know about Jogini Falls, but few know about this small waterfall tucked away in Vashisht.

A guest asked me yesterday, "What's the first thing I should do after checking in?"

Instead of recommending a café, I pointed them toward this small waterfall just 3 minutes from The Sthaan Homestay.

An hour later they came back smiling and said it was the most peaceful part of their day.

This is why I love hosting in Vashisht.

I host a small homestay in Vashisht, 10 minutes from the village center. Guests wake up to birds and a waterfall is just a 3-minute walk away. Here's the morning view.

I run a small homestay in Vashisht, Manali. One of my favorite things is that guests wake up to birds instead of traffic noise. The main village is a 10-minute walk away, and there's a waterfall just 3 minutes from the house. Here's the view from this morning.
