Adding new HDDs and transferring existing HDD to parity?
I am probably over thinking this but I figured I could ask. I did try to look this up but couldn't fin this exact situation. I originally build my server using 2 14tb HDDs, no issue. However, I wanted to expand my storage and also wanted to add another HDD to parity so that I'm covered. I did not realized that parity needed to be the largest HDD in size. I originally got 2 6tb HDDs thinking I could add 1 to overall storage and 1 to parity but obviously that didn't work. I was able to get a 12tb HDD, I know just buying another 14tb would have avoided all of this but it was over $100 more. How do I transfer my current 14tb HDD to parity without losing 10.8tb of data? Can I just move it and add the other 3 HDDs and have the parity build the data back?
