Can we stop saying tax the billionaires?

What we need is a fair tax system.

Saying "tax the billionaires" is simply not productive. It sounds malicious and it is hard to fight the people with power. In capitalism, people with capital has the most power. (Not persons, because corporation can donate a lot more than an average person to a political campaign.)

Would you rather be right, but lose the fight? Or be tactful and find success.

So let's just demand a fair tax system, ok?

How does the PDFs and the ethnic groups feel about fighting the conscripted soldiers?

How do the PDF soldiers on the ground think about having to potentially kill conscripted soldiers?

Are they going to keep fighting anyone who wears the sit-tat uniform? At this point, they are not even fighting the military government anymore.

Most of the frontline sit-tat's soldiers since the time of the coup has probably been replaced by the new ones.

It seems like Sit-tat is just keeping the opposition forces busy with conscripted pawns.

Isn't it like pawns vs pawns right now?

Edited: for spelling

What is the next step for the anti-junta resistance politically?

How come we never hear much about what is holding back the anti-junta group from working together or what can be done to have them work together on this forum?

The opposition leaderships, all ethnic groups, PDFs, and the NUG, are just bobbling around while the young are wasting their youth away in the fight.

I see so many threads about how bad the junta is, but those are not productive conversations.

Edit: LET's focus on the question. "What is the next step?" Let's not argue about who is right and who is wrong.

One way to be constructive is to state the current situation and describe what the next steps are! Many young people are sacrificing their youth. We should discuss what the leadership can do feasibly. Don't simply state what is happening.

We, Burmese, are very good at pointing out who is wrong, but are terrible at having a constructive conversation and problem solving. So let's avoid that here. Focus on the question.

Anyone applied for permanent residency in Burma?

I am an expat who wants to go back and live in Burma.

  1. How long does it take to get it?
  2. Any tips or tricks?

Many thanks in advance. I visit every year; so nostalgic every time I go back.

I am retired, a US citizen. I could create a business, create a few jobs and help the school in the village I grew up in. Neither I or my family have been involved in anything political.
