My Dad keeps obsessing over my career to the point where even though he is dangerously ill, I am going to leave home. I have just had my training contract at work suspended because my workplace is under pressure and they can't afford to keep me until the same time next year. This basically means I've been sacked and will resume work in May, but I can't find anything else to do for just a year as I am nearly 30 and my dad said once you hiy 30, they don't look at you as having the potential to be a manager in a call centre.
If I got another job for a year, I'd have to quit to finish my training so my workplace have really f@cked with me.
What do I do? There are no jobs in my region and all of the jobs I could do are elsewhere. I am considering self-employment because in my last workplace I felt trapped and as though I'd never find a husband there considering the hours.
