What did I just read?
I have been currently reading Haruka Murakami's
"The Norwegian wood" . Done with nearly 219 pages and usually I am not easily frustrated enough but this one really blew my head off . There are so many mood spoilers in this novel !
●TONS OF UNNECESSARY S** SCENES
Like really tons and loads of it. Either it's some sort of fuc*** of fantasy of the protagonist or some sort of poorly written moments of self pleasure or this that. I do get that some stories have protagonists written in that manner and I ignored it to a large extent but I am simply done with the number of se**** references in the novel
● WEAK CHARACTERS-
It seems as if more than half of female characters so far exist solely as a person to please the protagonist in some way or such. The men too seem of weak character as a certain highly respected and glorified character in the former part of the novel is
a man who can barely control his se**** whims with him spending multiple nights with stranger girls and he is also shown to be cheating on his girlfriend. THE PROTAGONIST HIMSELF IS A WEAK CHARACTER TOO .
●Mentions of some music pieces and other artists and stuff is so vague and unfitting . It's like someone threw in the stuff to make the book look somewhat appealing without knowing where to fit it in!!!
● So far , I see the plot going nowhere . The themes of suicide and all those stuff have been simply vaguely touched without any essence or depth or value attached to those sensitive topics!
I could go on but it would be too long then..
LASTLY WHAT IN THE ACTUAL HEAVENS IS WRONG ABOUT THIS PART?

I understand characters have flaws and are not typically the epitome of morality and stuff but all this with so much of se**** nonsense and senseless plot is killing me . The worst part ? Got this for ₹570 something jisme do ache novels aajate 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Summary - Got a super overhyped and overpriced bad novel - the Norwegian wood by Haruka murakami which is making it difficult for me to finish it
