I just got accepted into an ADN program and I would like some honest opinions on a question I'm sure has been asked 1000 times. I recently joined this sub so my apologies if this is a frequent question.

How do the actual nursing courses compare to the prerequisites in terms of difficulty?

I took 5 prerequisites last fall all online; Intro bio, A&P1, Statistics, Intro to psych, and ENG101. I maintained all A's. This spring I took 4 more online; A&P2, Microbiology, Pharmacology, and Developmental Psych. This time I got A's in everything, except A&P2 in which I got an 86% (B). The semester was extremely demanding but I seemed to grasp the material well, especially micro and pharm.

The first semester of my ADN program consists of medication math and fundamentals both in a hybrid format. The fundamentals includes 2 days per week in person, one of which will be an 8 hour clinical, one will be lectures/sims, and then there is online assignments to do from home.

I do not need to work at all, I have no children, and honestly I am not a very social person. I am pretty used to round the clock studying and fully investing my time into my studies. I know nursing courses are much heavier on critical thinking, application, etc, which will be much more different than the memorization style of prerequisites.

In your opinion, were nursing classes significantly harder than prerequisites? How would my first semester (fundamentals and med math) compare in difficulty to my most recent semester (A&P2, Micro, Dev Psych, Pharm)?

I would really appreciate some insight from other students. Thank you everyone.

TL;DR: How do fundamentals and med math compare to a semester of A&P2, Micro, Pharm, and Dev Psych?
