The survey results released Monday by the New York Times/Siena poll show that 50 percent of respondents said they would vote for the Democratic candidate in their district. Comparatively, 39 percent said they would back the Republican nominee and 11 percent are unsure.

Thirty percent of the survey participants identify as Democrats, 29 percent identify as Republican while 35 percent said they are independent.
