Emergency Nurse Training for a Graduate Nurse
Hello, I’m a soon-to-be graduate Registered Nurse with a strong interest in pursuing a career in Emergency Nursing. I understand that graduate positions in ED are highly competitive due to the critical care environment and the high level of clinical capability expected of new staff.
I was hoping to ask whether there are any additional courses, certifications, or external training opportunities you would recommend that could strengthen my skills and make me a more competitive candidate for future Emergency Department positions.
At the moment, my additional experience includes completing a placement in an Emergency Department, where I received very positive feedback, as well as volunteering as a medic within a nightlife precinct. I’m also planning to complete my Advanced First Aid certification when I renew my current qualifications next year.
