What PenTesting Cert is Worth Taking if I am Not Trying to be a PenTester?
I am a entry level security analyst who has been working in the field for about 2 years. I want to focus more on engineering and defensive security. Most of my study has been up to this point with my CASP+, AWS SAA, Compt tia trifecta, and my soon to have CISSP. However I also recognize the holistic nature of security and I want to study and have a cert to prove the understanding of the offensive side.
I don't necessarily want to go all in but I want something that is tangible to give me a good view of the offensive side preferably with some practical skills so I can come out of that a better defensive analyst and architect. Should I stick with the Pentest+ for its recognition or do a more niche, HTB CBBH, eJPT type cert.
For someone who has a better idea, can you help point me towards something that has a decent ROI and would be worth putting time into given I am not expressly trying to to pentesting?
