Is the park fully cashless?

Planning a trip to Alton Towers next year with a GirlGuiding Unit I run and seeing conflicting things on if the park is cashless? I obviously want to make sure that parents have plenty of time to organise a bank card for their kids if needed.

I keep seeing posts of people saying that the park is cashless whereas the AT website says this: "All other locations on the Theme Park accept both cash and card."

Which is correct?

Also planning on saying to parents to send their kid with £80-90 spending money, it's been a very long time since I've been to the park myself. Would this be a feasible amount it would also need to include their lunches for two days in the park. We are traveling from Scotland overnight by coach, having two full days in the park and staying one night in one of the resort hotels. I would love opinions by more experienced park goers!

Edit :clarification on what kind of group and more specifics of our trip
