Value of education in India ...
I am a private Physics teacher earning only ₹25,000 per month. I have completed a Bachelor of Science, a Master’s degree in Physics, and a Bachelor of Education.
After completing all these degrees, I sometimes feel that if I had invested the same amount of time, effort, and dedication in another country, perhaps my life would be more settled by now.
In India, I often feel that education is not valued enough and that suitable job opportunities are limited. Government exam leaks, corruption, and declining standards in sectors such as food, transportation, healthcare, and education make the situation even more frustrating.
I am 27 years old now, and sometimes I feel like I have already fallen too far behind. I have no close friends, no love life, and no real sense of job security.
I have also appeared for several government exams, but every time I miss the cutoff by a very small margin—sometimes 1 mark, 0.3 marks, or even 0.7 marks—and end up being disqualified.
At this point, I feel completely exhausted and frustrated. Sometimes I genuinely feel as though I have wasted or ruined my life, despite putting in years of hard work and education.
I know everyone has a different journey, but I would really like to hear from people who have gone through something similar.
How are you guys doing? Has anyone else felt this way, and how did you manage to turn things around?
