Hi everyone!
I have my implant surgery scheduled for next Friday with Dr. Figler at UNC Chapel Hill. Originally he was using the rod implant but within the last year switched to the pump, which I think is a better option for me.
I’m an extremely active person - marathon runner, spartan races, bouldering, biking, etc. I have heard the pump is better for this as the rod can often come detached if you are extremely active.
Anyone have any input on the healing after the pump implant? Also, I have heard people mention some gains in girth with the pump, any notes on this would be great. In addition, I am curious about the weight factor and general feel. How is it feeling the tube inside your shaft, if you can feel it? Is the weight of the pump that noticeable? Currently I’m a bit trim in size. About 5” long and 3” in girth so I am thinking I may feel the implant more since I lack the girth.
Thanks for the input!
