Title: Amazon ML Data Associate (1-year contract, 2.54 LPA) vs NielsenIQ Data Operations Analyst (3.46 LPA) – Which should I choose?
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for career advice and would appreciate your suggestions.
I currently work in a voice process role, but I want to transition into a more technical/data-related career that aligns with my educational background.
I have two offers:
- Amazon – ML Data Associate
- Approx. 2.54 LPA (HR mentioned this is the expected package)
- 1-year contractual role
- NielsenIQ (NIQ) – Data Operations Analyst
- 3.46 LPA
- Formal offer in hand
My current compensation is around 3.1 LPA (excluding variable pay).
My main goal is to move out of voice process and build a long-term career in data and analytics. Since I don’t have prior experience in data roles, I consider myself almost a fresher in this field.
I know Amazon has a strong brand name, so I’m wondering if rejecting this opportunity would be a mistake. On the other hand, NIQ offers higher compensation and seems more aligned with analytics.
Which option would be better for long-term career growth in data/analytics? Would I regret turning down Amazon?
Thanks in advance for your advice!
