A book about a young woman that tried to trap a man with a baby his mom switched the results to say he was not the dad

This is a book I read in high school and I swear it was a young adult book or at least marked that way.

I’m very blurry about a lot of details in the book. However, what I do remember is:

A young woman to some sort of mob boss / dealer wanted to be with a man by any means because he had money. She ended up getting sliced on a part of her face due to some other situation.

The man the girl wanted started seeing another less/non problematic woman who wouldn’t let him have sex with her until she was married. On a drunken night he had assumed he had sex with this woman but really he was only feeling her inner thighs.

In the end or near the end of it, the real and false results were exposed to the woman he started seeing and thinking he had been intimate with. The woman wanted to say something but his mother shushed her because she was the woman she wanted her son with.

A lot of things are blurry as far as more details go. I read this in high school and got it from the library in and around 2013/2014 ish.

I swore the cover had purple that had a fade into black ombré and yellow letters saying the title that I can’t remember. I think it had either her silhouette in a dress or half her face on the cover as well.

Please of this rings any bells please help me solve what book this may be.

I recently got an electric lawnmower. It’s a replacement because the first one stopped working. This one is specifically known as: The CAT DG670 60 Volt electric cordless lawnmower.

It has these red plastic parts that are supposed to be pressed down to lift up the handle bar that you would use to push the lawnmower forward.

The problem is only the right side one is the one I am able to push down in order to be able to lift it up. The left one is not budging at all to be able to fully open & extend the lawnmower’s handle.

Is there a way to fix this? Any cheap but legit solutions?
Has anyone dealt with this before?

I included photos of the handle & lawnmower for a visual representation of what I’m talking about.
