Okay everyone! It was a challenge for sure, but she finally has a name.

There were tons of names we tossed around and only a few that actually got a legitimate tryout.

If you'll recall from the original post, her sisters both have names relating to Rudolph. So even though Dejah was NEARLY the name, it just didn't feel quite right.

In a final act of desperation, I rewatched Rudolph, hoping for SOME inspiration. And right out of the gate, there it was.

The producers of Rudolph were Rankin/Bass. The name Rankin stood out immediately, but later that night I looked up the meaning and it fit what I've always felt she resembled... "Descendant of the little wolf."

But to make it more elegant like I felt she deserved, we stylized the name a bit so, without further adieu

Meet Rænkyn!

I have literally NEVER struggled to name pets, however this little girl has me stumped. She is the absolute sweetest, she loves to cuddle and just stare into your eyes, purrs like crazy and has a great voice. Part of me feels like she needs a beautiful, elegant name, but I'm normally a goofy name person.

Her big sisters are Mysfit (from the Island of Misfit Toys in Rudolph, and she only has one eye, so we spelt it with one I 😂) and Bumble (the Abominable Snowman from Rudolph) so Rudolph related names are not off the table, but not necessary since they were gotten together and are 2yrs older than her.

Names I've considered but nothing have totally stuck yet are: Smudge, Leeloo, Fizgig, Jack, Swarley, Mouse, Fish and a few others I don'tremember. Top faves but still not quite right: Jersey & Jet.

Open to backing one of the ones listed & open to suggestions!
