Marvel IP Headed to Arena
This seems somewhat impactful to the upcoming Marvel Super Heroes (MSH) release - one of the worst parts of SPM was the Omenpaths translation on digital clients. It hurt the paper product to a nonzero degree due to the lack of synergy. If I wanted to relive my nostalgia it's playing Spider-man, not Kaevero or whatever the hell they were forced to peddle digitally for all of the IP-related cards (although Fleem dominated MTG internet for 2 weeks).
SPM would have still sucked for other reasons due to being an Aftermath set upshifted to small set at the 11th hour, half-baked designs, weaker than average power level, cornball thematic, etc., but the Omenpaths confusion was the icing on the turd cake.
My interest in spoiler season for MSH is at least not zero now and gives me some faith in the product. Preoders for MSH sealed have been basically MSRP or even below for some of the items, which is wild considering the heater Magic has been on overall.
