Questions regarding the outcome of the protests from a foreigner
I'm a foreigner from Europe and I found this subreddit because in July I will travel to La Paz for tourism.
I've been following the situation regarding the roadblocks and protests and I have some questions regarding this situation, none of them related to traveling, cause I know things can change very fast anyway:
Since the start of the protests, what actions did the government take? Did they negotiate new terms with the protesters? Are they going to? As I saw on the news, La Paz is under siege since last week, being impossible for anyone to enter or exit the city.
There are dozens of roadblocks across the country and around La Paz. These are collapsing the economy and creating shortages of fuel and food. What will the government do to solve this? Waiting for another week month is not the solution, neither for the people nor for the economy.
I know that the president was elected fairly, but giving the context it is clear that the actual government can not hold power since they look incompetent to me, at least by european standards. Why are they not resigning after this. As bolivians, what do you think will be the outcome?
