🎉 Canvas Notebook v2026.5.21.3 Released – Automation & Chat Improvements

Just shipped a new release of Canvas Notebook – your self-hosted AI development environment that combines file browser, code editor, terminal, and AI chat in one place.

**What's new in v2026.5.21.3:**

🤖 **Automation System Overhaul**
- Automation runs now stored in database only (more reliable, better performance)
- Split UI for automation overview vs. detail views
- Automation edits persist through refreshes
- Composio trigger context now included in automation prompts

💬 **Chat & Agent Experience**
- Smoother chat session startup
- Better assistant activity indicators while sending
- Reduced label clutter around tool calls
- Fixed agent HTML file references
- Improved chat table scrolling

🎨 **UI/UX Polish**
- Notebook file browser now has minimum width (no more collapsed sidebar)
- Integration trigger tabs load properly

My project is getting shape

Its been a while since i gave my last update and i kind of am disappointed at myself for letting the topic of marketing down so much but it is so hard to ship and post at the same time… the project is source code available and you can find it on GitHub. Please yourself with months of work and a very powerful ai workspace plus image and video generation built in!
