Patches working.......so far.

Quit on 1 may, so 16 days in, went with patches after stuffing up quits previously going CT, last time a year ago over a month into the quit which shows how these things get you and you can't be complacent.

Was on about 8-10 6mg velo so went with step 2 patches (14mg) for 2 weeks was brutal at first but the patches took edge off and broke the mouth ritual. Stepped down to (step 3) 7mg on Friday there, Friday was a wee bit rough with lesser withdrawal symptoms than when I first went to the 14mg patch. Yesterday, today has been pretty much fine as my body has adjusted to the lower level again.

I know I'm nowhere near out of the woods, but wish I'd given patches a go before, they've genuinely really helped. Hoping for similar to Friday in a fortnight when I rip the step 3 off.

You do need to want to quit and have willpower as cravings still hit, but these patches are definitely helping me and removing the habit from the addiction.
