Nasal bridge numbness and pain

Last night, I tried the Resmed F30i mask that I've rented for a week. I woke up 4 hours into my sleep with numbness and pain in my nasal bridge. I've since determined that the person who fitted me for it did not balance the straps, so it was pulling hard to the right. I've adjusted it and will try again tonight.

This is my first time using an under the nose mask, as well as one that covers my mouth. I needed to transition because I apparently open my mouth when I sleep, especially when I wear my oral retainers. Picking a full face mask that works with a beard and my facial shape was difficult and the F40 doesn't seal well enough. So, hopefully the F30i will.

For those of you who transitioned from over the nose to under, did you find that it took time for your nose to adjust? Does pain and discomfort go away? Or, should I be looking at an over the nose full face mask?

Hi everyone. I've noticed that my sleep has been deteriorating and been getting higher leak numbers even though my fit is great. I think it's because I had my orthodontics removed and am now wearing top and bottom retainers at night, so my mouth is opening up. Really dry throat is my giveaway.

Anyway, I have a full beard and am considering trying a chin strap. Do they work well with beards? I have really sensitive skin, so I'd like to avoid tape (but I'm open to it). What has been your experience? Any brand recommendations for either? I'm in Canada if that matters.

In the distant past, I was married and then divorced. At that time, I was advised that I would have to continue noting my status as divorced until it changed. I was more recently common-law for seven years. We broke up with no chance of reconciling. In both cases, no kids. I put separated on this year's return, but is there a point at which I can put "single" again? Or am I now separated until my situation changes again?

Can someone also please explain to me how these terms are useful to the CRA and why they don't line up with societal norms? As, for all intents and purposes, I became single and am now dating someone else. I definitely don't see myself as "separated".
