I have my Macbook Air 2015 that I got in 2016 for undergrad that I've used until now, but am considering possibly buying a new one for my master's program for the fall.

My laptop's been suggesting a battery replacement for a couple years now, I've just never changed it haha...

Not much complaints about my laptop - Most of my keyboard still works, but it does heat up at times, and the battery only lasts a couple hours after being fully recharged. I've used it casually since I've graduated.

I'm mainly concerned if this laptop will be able to use the programs/apps my school will require me to use, so advice for if I should I replace my laptop battery or just buy a new laptop?
