THE DARK KNIGHT RISES is NOT COPAGANDA!!
TDKR in my opinion is still a very flawed movie, and is not beyond critiques.
But one that never seems right to me is when people call it "COPAGANDA" just because of the existence of Jospeh Gordon Levitt's character and the fact that it ended with an army of cops fighting the villains (Yeah it's silly). People thought that it means the movie endorses cops.
I need everyone to remember that one other critiques that people brought up is "The cops are stupid for sending every single one of them to the sewer". That is definitely a valid point to bring up. But I think you shouldn't make that point and then call it copaganda. Because that means it made the cops stupid but also it's copaganda? That doesn't make any sense to me.
I accept the fact that the cops are stupid, and the only thing they're good for is fighting as a canon fodder at the end.
Now we get to John Blake, did we forget that one of his last act of heroism was preventing kids from being blown up by the MILITARY? THE FUCKING MILITARY WAS READY TO BLOW UP SOME KIDS. Which caused him to quit the force and be Batman. He realised that he can't change the system at all, even when good men like Jim Gordon is in charge.
