His name was Sirius

This is a follow up to my previous post, "Parvo Puppy" I wanted to provide an image of him for everyone, because I can't stand the idea of him being forgotten.

His name was Sirius, he was a white lab, he was eight weeks old, and he was the sweetest, kindest, gentlest, smartest, and most friendly puppy you've ever seen. He loved everyone with an open heart, he knew how to fetch without being taught, and he loved to sleep on people's heads. He was my star puppy. Yesterday he was diagnosed with parvo, and today he died. My wife and I did everything we could to save him, we went to the vet, we hooked him up to an IV and gave him his medicine, we syringed water into his mouth to help him drink, we did everything we could, but it just wasn't enough and today our little star went out. I know me posting this might violate this groups rules, but please keep it up, don't take it down, because...he deserves to be remembered, because he was loved, and he was good. Please...please remember my Sirius.

Parvo Puppy

Hello everyone.

My wife and I adopted a lab puppy five days ago, an adorable eight week old lab puppy who loves everyone. He ate fine, pooped fine, and he played. A few days later he seemed a little sad, we thought he missed his siblings, then he stopped eating, and yesterday he had bloody diarrhea and vomiting and we took him to the vet and they told us he has parvo as well as hook and round worms. They gave us an IV to hook him up to at home, antibiotics, nausea medicine, and worm medicine. We've been giving him the medicine, and helping him take water because he's stopped drinking on his own, but he still won't eat and he's having trouble standing. If there is anyone here with experience with parvo, please give me any advice you can, tell me what I can do, tell me he's going to be okay? I know I've only had him for less than a week, but he's my boy.

Edit: I hate that I have to post this so soon but...he died. His name was Sirius, he was 8 weeks, he was more white than yellow, and he loved everyone unconditionally. He was my boy, my baby boy. Thank you everyone for your fast feedback, but it's too late. Please, all of you, remember him for me.

Hello all,

I live in Oklahoma and I'm looking to get into teaching, but I don't currently have a degree. I've got one more semester to go before I can finish, but I don't have time for school at the moment. I intend to finish the degree as soon as I can, but right now I need to be able to work. I'm sure this I'm barking up the wrong tree, and there's no way, but I'm also an optimist and I figured it would be best to ask. If anyone can give me some advice I'd be eternally grateful.
