I posted a few weeks ago about my run in with poison ivy. I’ve made it all alive. I was covered in it, but now I want revenge.

So I inadvertently grabbed a giant vine that was growing up my tree before it was showing any leaves not knowing that poison ivy did that

I didn’t shower that night and I went into a sauna later in the evening, and as you’d expect, ended up being completely covered in a rash that made me wanna just off myself for the better part of three weeks

As I recover in my lizard, skin continues to peel. I’ve been thinking about planning my revenge attack.

While I won’t be burning it and I’ll make sure I’ll be covered in a Tyvek suit with tons of plastic bags and a 50 gallon drum of glyphosate.

I walked my property and realized that I have vines everywhere and poison ivy is all over the trails and Woods of my 2 acre lot

I want to eradicate as much as I can of it so I would love your suggestions

The vines and the trees are one thing I know how to handle those what my question really is around the little plants that I see growing out of the ground. Do I just spray all of them individually or do I go through and pull them out? I want to eradicate as much as possible, and I don’t want it to return.

Would love any suggestions on how to do that because it’s not just a single patch there’s just little spaces of it everywhere

And being the amazing husband I am I proceed to walk over to Sid tree and grab the 3 inch vine attached to our pine tree here in Michigan and with my bare hands and his T-shirt proceed to tear it completely down off the tree

As I’m sure some of you are already thinking, you already know what this means.

Now I’ve had exposure to poison ivy in the past and honestly, I had no idea that it grew to these giant vines like this and this particular vine, as it was spring, had no leaves growing from it near the top yet.

So I grabbed this giant vine that looked like it was something from the upside down on Stranger Things and yanked it only to find out that it is one of the most potent things that you can touch on a poison ivy plant.

13 days in and I am battling with one of the worst poison ivy rashes I’ve ever dealt with in my life and given them that I didn’t know it was poison ivy, and I wiped my hands on my face, my legs, my arms, my stomach I am in ansokute hell.

So now.. I’ve identified three trees with these giant vines and I want to completely destroy them (without burning of course)

My god man, I’ve never suffered like this in my life nor would I wish this pain on anyone.

please please please be careful out there.

Any removal tips would be great. Getting gloves, ducky tape, a tyvek suit, mask and bags
