I have been offered the opportunity to move to the Cadiz area with my wife and 3 children 18, 12 and 7. I am thinking we would be staying somewhere in the area between: Cadiz, El Puerto de Santa Maria, Rota, Costa Ballena, Chipiona, Sanlucar de Barrameda, and Jerez de la Frontera.

Can someone describe the crime situation there? Is it just pickpocketing or is there violent crime to be worried about? Any recommendations on area would be appreciated.
