Financial Aid: anyone else have this issue?
So, at the beginning of the quarter, I received a random late disbursement for the winter quarter that was then sent back to me as a refund. I have been asking about my spring disbursement since then, and at first, it was “ oh, we have to take care of this one first”. Okay, fair enough.
I receive the refund and am confident that they will then disburse the rest of my funding. It is now week 7 of my courses and they have yet to do so.
I have called a total of 7 different times and each time, I’m told “it’s the department of education that’s rejecting it” or “you’re not getting it because you hadn’t began your second class yet” (I started it last week), or they’ve escalated it and I’m supposed to hear “by the end of the week”.
I don’t know what to do atp. I keep getting different answers and I’ve tried to keep my cool. I am currently on hold with the FAST. It should not take 8 phone calls to try and get this resolved.
edit: it took me speaking with a learner specialist for an hour but I finally got it sorted 🫠 this is ridiculous but it’s fixed.
