JA11 Questions

Hello I have a couple of questions for any of you JA11 owners can answer please .I just recently got a 1991 JA11-V Coupe Turbo 5 speed manual Jimny in Okinawa , and just need some things clarified or just thoughts . Thank you for the insight , and if I can’t get everything answered here I will consult actual mechanics to see what the best course of action is.

  1. Is there any service manual that yall recommend for my model of Jimny . Telling you parts numbers , fluids , etc. preferably in English

2)The seat in my jimny is too far forward. I’m 6’1 and need the seat to be a bit back , but when I put it all the way it doesn’t go as far as I need it to go . Does anyone have any recommendations or fixes to mount the seat further back ?

  1. I want to put a new sound system in my Jimmy. What do people recommend for the speakers, subs , and radio ?

4)What website to buy genuine parts or if not genuine then reliable aftermarket stuff for my Jimny . I preferably want a website that ships to Okinawa .

  1. I want to do a valve adjustment and timing belt change on my Jimny . What tools will I need , and just overall tips on how to do this job . Is it as simple as using a feeler gauge , and either tightening and losing the exhaust and intake valves to the correct spec ? For the timing belt is it just replacing the old one for the new belt ?

  2. When I look in my Airbox where my engine air filter sits . There seems to be traces of oil on the air box ? So it looks like some oil is blowing by ? If anyone of yall experienced this ? What should I look at to try to solve this issue ?

  3. My Jimny doesn’t come with Powering steering , and it’s definitely a chore to turn in it . The previous owner put got a lift , and put bigger tires on it. I think the tires also need wheel spacers because when I turn the steering wheel all the way to the left or right . I can feel the tires possibility hitting the fender or the frame of the car .The Steering wheel has a good amount of play , and I want to see if any of y’all know how to fix this ? Will I need to replace the steering box ? Also because there’s bigger tires on my Jimny what do I need to do modification wise to make sure these wheels don’t end up hurting other mechanical parts of the car .

Skin Care For Men in Japan

Hello ,

I recently made it to Okinawa , and I’m going to be living here for the next 4 years . I really want to dive deep into the skin care rabbit hole , but I want some good guidance . I’m looking for the best routine to make my skin the best it can be . I’m 21 years old , and my skin tends to be on the more oily side I guess sometimes neutral . I tend to break out a bit even though I cleanse and moisturize twice a day . Maybe it’s the food or I’m not getting the right amount of sleep and water intake . Maybe even the wrong products . I don’t think I have sensitive skin , but could be wrong . I’m currently doing a cerave hydrating foam cleanser , with cerave morning with spf moisturizer for the day and the night moisturizer that’s supposed to be on less oily side. Every 2 days or so using a 1.5% Salicylic acid treatment . The results of this skin care routine for 2 ish months has been that my skin is a bit more glowly but because I get nonstop acne it creates hyper pigmented skin after the acne goes away , and more pimples just keep showing up after the old ones heal . I am in the military so I need to shave constantly without the week so maybe that’s why pimples keep showing up , but anyways I need a skin care routine that can clean , exfoliate , moisture , and protect my skin from the sun . Preferably using the products over here in Japan . I am in Okinawa some I assume that the more humid weather and sun may not be the most hospitable conditions for trying to keep clear skin from all the sweating , and uv exposure but I’m sure as long as I where the proper sunscreen and wash my face after the day is done that I should be fine . Thank you !

TLDR:

I need a skincare routine that cleanse , exfoliate , deal with hyper pigmentation, moisture , sunscreen , and overall makes my skin glow . Preferably using Japanese products .

Need help find out all the fluids to change , and other maintenance items to my Jimny JA11-1 127190.

Country : Okinawa Japan

Specs of Jimny: 1991 Suzuki Jimny JA11-1 Turbo Coupe Manual 5 speed

For anyone that has the part numbers for all the crush washers/gaskets for all the drain plugs or check plug if it has any let me know please . I haven’t taken a look if the car has those type of washers for any of the competent drain plugs , but I’m assuming they do ?

What engine oil should I use in Okinawa ? I heard people use different engine oil for specific weather .

What oil to use for the front and rear differential ?

What coolant should I run or should I run all distilled water since it’s so warm in Okinawa ?

What oil should I run for the transmission ?

What spark plugs should I get what should be the gap on them ?

Should I do the timing belt since the car is at 119,000 km ?

I already know the brake fluid is dot 3.

Any advice is helpful since I don’t have the car manual .

Hello I need to find a reputable shop that won’t over charge me to fix the mechanism that allows the window to roll down on the passenger window . Possible A/C refrigerant leak , and if anyone knows a shop that can redo a sound system on the island . That would be awesome !
