Things to know before getting started - UK
For the last week, I've just been noodling around with my S&S ISA with some success, although it's been a good week for the market anyway. I think I can make a go at this but I'd like to know what I should know.
I have 34k in my ISA which seems like the best place to trade because it's non-tax. However, I don't have access to margin and certain stocks come with a fee (0.3% for US stocks like Nvidia and 0.5% for UK stocks like Rolls Royce). Nothing on ETFs though. I can short some stocks through leveraged inverse ETFs but I haven't tried yet.
I've just been buying into stocks that I think will be up by the end of the day so holding for 1-6 hours.
What should I know before going forward? Any sites or resources to be aware of?
