Is obtaining a A&P really that big of a deal?
For context, i’ve tried to get a temporary job at a company called Zipline (drone maintenance) and ATS (MRO). I explained to both companies that I have my A license and will be obtaining my P at the end of this month and it seems like they shrug it off because I don’t have any experience outside of AMT school. I’m only 20 years old so maybe they look at my age as a factor of not hiring me? I try my best to have a good attitude, ask good questions and research these companies before the interview, but it seems like once they see/hear I have no mechanical experience job wise i’m just written off. Do you guys think it’s just how smaller companies act because they don’t have their A&Ps and are jealous or do you think they think I won’t stick around for long considering my age and the fact that i’ll be a full fledged A&P in under a month and will probably move on to something different?
