Hey guys, first time posting here. I’m a freshman at a non-target, extremely interested in the public markets. I already look at companies in my spare time and trade a paper portfolio. I was also planning on starting my own research page on Substack, so I have something to my name. If I want to work in ER and ultimately at a L/S hedge fund, what skills and experience should I focus on over the next three years?

Also any book recs about investing?
