Hi, I’m somewhat worried because I’ve had an interview 2 days ago and haven’t heard back. I’ve also applied at many positions around Dfw and haven’t heard anything. I’ve called hr for Fort Worth and they said they are behind with applications. I don’t know about other districts. I just want to know if it’s just me
I recently got hired as an Art Teacher through a FWISD job fair and had a couple questions about salary.
At the event, they had us complete an assignment/test. If you passed, you got a “Golden Ticket” and moved to another room for another evaluation. If you passed that, they signed your ticket, which meant you qualified to interview for ELEVATE and ACE schools.
I was placed at an ELEVATE school—does that automatically mean higher salary?
Also, I’m not fully certified yet but have my SOE through an alternative certification program. Would I still be paid the same as a certified teacher, and would any higher ELEVATE pay apply to me?
I already signed my letter of intent and I’m just waiting on whatever paperwork or next steps they need me to complete.
Would appreciate any insight!
