I’m looking at apartments in Chicago and trying to figure out how much my credit is going to hurt me. My score is in the mid-600s right now, mostly because of student loans and a couple rough months last year where I missed payments. I’m current now and my income is decent, but I keep seeing places mention credit checks and it’s making me nervous. How much do landlords really care? Appreciate any feedback here.
