We're planning hackathon swag for 200+ people in Singapore - what gifts actually get kept?

We're planning hackathon swag for 200+ people in Singapore - what gifts actually get kept?

Hey everyone!

We're organizing UCWS Hackathon Singapore's Demo Day (June 13th) for 100-300+ developers
and need community input on what gifts to include.

Current plan:
- Power Banks (10,000 mAh, USB-C/dual output)
- Limited-edition Demo Day T-shirts (unisex sizing)
- Sticker packs
- Keychains/small accessories

The context: We recently saw what OpenAI did with mechanical keyboards in Singapore and honestly?
That was genius. It got people hyped. So now we're wondering...

Questions for the community:

  1. What gifts actually get used vs. end up in a drawer? Be honest lol

  2. Is practical > collectible for hackathons? Or is it a mix?

  3. Regional preferences: Especially curious about Southeast Asia folks (SG 🇸🇬, MY 🇲🇾, ID 🇮🇩)
    - What's trending in your region?
    - What would make you genuinely excited?
    - Any cultural preferences we should know about?

  4. What are we missing? What would make THIS hackathon swag bag special?

Our budget is decent ($5-8 per person), so we have some room to play with.

Appreciate any insights! Will likely update the community once we decide.

TL;DR - Help us pick cool hackathon gifts. What do you actually want? 👇
