Sporter ejecting 2 rounds at once?
I recently bought a sporterized Lee Enfield for pretty cheap called the mountaineer, sporterized in the 50s or 60s by golden state arms, almost unrecognizable except the magazine that was supposedly made in house to a 5 rounder, and I’ve had problems with ejection it may be the mag I don’t believe it’s an aftermarket magazine but a cut/modified original. I’ll chamber a round (after some fiddling and intense pressure loading it) and when I cycle the bolt the original round becomes stuck in the bolt face and has to be picked out by hand, and/or, it will eject the spent casing taking the next round in the magazine with it. I’ve looked around online and on forums and no one seems to have had this problem. I’m looking for a starting point for this issue. Anyone have any similar experience or advice? I’ve already ordered a stock 10 round mag (even though they’re supposedly made for the gun they’re for) to hopefully solve the issue.
