Old Piano Oak Banjo

1st banjo. Oak from a 100 year old piano, beetle eaten... but all beatles that died 100 years ago. Making a 26 3/16 scale 5 string. Harbor freight ring roller, 1/2" x 1/8" 360 brass tone ring and tension hoop. Stewmac economy tuners and truss rod. Ode banjo hardware (for now until i find a cheaper place to get hardware). Probably purple heart for the fretboard, stainless steel medium frets.

Took me a minute to figure out the perfect size of the "Isosceles Trapezoid" for the block rim. 3.5" on top, about 2.75" on bottom, twelve glued together, 4 layers (wood is 5/8 thick).

Going to test out my table saw fixtures and make one out of cheap pine first. Will post an update when i ger some more done. Hoping to have it done this summer!
