I'm losing my mind with the job market
For clarification, I recently finished a 3 month long phlebotomy course in April and passed my NHCO exam with a very high score. I have previously worked in veterinary care so have plenty of venipuncture experience. I have been applying to every entry level position I can find in my area, even going as far as to apply for phlebotomy adjacent positions like plasma tech, medical screener etc and I just cannot find work in the field. Half of the job postings are already filled or just advertisements for positions on the other side of the state or country, the other half want years of experience or inexplicably stacked resumes (I saw a position hiring for a phlebotomist that wanted x-ray and CT tech certification. 22 an hour lmfao). I paid for the program out of my own pocket when i probably couldn't afford to and I'm working in a bs sales job just to make ends meet. I just don't know what more I can do. Should I just start walking into hospitals with a paper resume like its the pre internet days? Do I need to start casting incantations or sacrificing microcollectioj tubes to the healthcare gods?
