Indefinite loading screen

I installed the recommended version of LDPlayer (I think version 9?) from the website. The window takes forever to load, first off. Gets to 94% and stays there for about 5-10 minutes. Once it loads, a window pops up that says "system UI isn't responding". Whether I don't do anything or click "wait", it eventually goes to an indefinitely loading "waiting on tablet" screen. I'm on Windows 10 on an older computer (had windows 8, 12 years ago).

I've gone into Multiplayer and started a new instance 4 times, each with tweaked settings. I've tried raising/lowering RAM, changing the number of cores, changing the resolution to the lowest possible setting. I've tried changing the Android version to 7 instead of 9- it "downloaded and installed" the files necessary, but I still can't use that Android version.

Ultimately, I am unfamiliar with Android emulators, and I'm only doing this to access specific files on a rooted android device without accidentally ruining my phone. I'm assuming this is user error, but I figured I'd come here and ask in case anyone else has experienced this.

TL;DR:

  1. Long loading time, stuck at 94% sometimes

  2. System UI is not responding

  3. Indefinite "tablet is starting" screen. Cannot get past that screen.

Thank you in advance!

Title sorting

Hi guys! I'm sure this has already been asked a million times but I'm ripping my hair out as we speak. I got the new XTEINK X3 and getting books onto that thing has proven to be extremely difficult (for me), but that's another story. I'm wondering if there is a way I can get Calibre to sort my books into a specific folder format when I click "save to disk", i.e. Sci-fi > A-M > James S.A. Corey > Leviathan Wakes. When I click "save to disk", it creates two separate folders with separate books titled "Corey S.A., James" and "S.A. COREY., JAMES." I edited the metadata in bulk for all three books and changed the author sort to "James S.A., Corey".

Two problems arose:

  1. A red exclamation point is now next to the author sort box, even though all three have the same thing typed into the field. I copied and pasted.

  2. When I clicked "save to disk", it removed the folders all together. All books and their constituent data are saved all in one place without separate folders. This can get messy really quick as I add to my library.

-------------------------

TL;DR I have three questions, essentially.

  1. Is there a way to have calibre automatically sort my books into a folder format of my choosing? Sci-fi > A-M > James S.A. Corey > "Book title".

  2. If this is not feasible in the format I'm looking for, I can manually create folders just fine. Is there a way to get Calibre to save my books to a specific folder with the author's name at least?

  3. I believe the 2nd question is due to user error but I'm not familiar with Calibre. I believe #3 is what caused #2. Why is there a red exclamation point next to the author sort box, even though they all have the same copied and pasted text?

Thank you all in advance! I got this thing to get away from the scrolling and distractions but without hyperbole, it has fought me every step of the way. Just want to get to reading. 😅
