I am currently conducting a research project focused specifically on the unique challenges and shifting landscapes experienced by mid-to-late career documentary filmmakers.
With the massive shifts in distribution, streaming models, and funding over the last few years, this research aims to capture how veteran storytellers are adapting their workflows and sustainable career models.
If you have been working in the documentary space for 15 years or more, have 2 or more feature-length documentaries distributed across major streaming platforms, or have been featured in major film festivals, I'd love to get your insights.
