About bioactive terrariums

I’m currently building a bioactive terrarium for my juvenile cornsnake ✨Floopy✨ and I have to admit I haven’t found many reliable sources to help with my research… especially for bioactive cornsnake setups.

Here’s what I’ve done so far:
- A drainage layer made of clay balls;
- A fine mesh screen layer;
- A layer of Reptisoil;
- Lots of leaf litter.

I also added the following plants:
- Hypoestes phyllostachya ‘Tricolor’;
- Sansevieria hahnii ‘Jade’ / snake plant;
- Epipremnum aureum ‘Marble Queen’.

I also introduced the following species:
- Pink springtails;
- Dwarf purple isopods.

I’m a bit concerned because I know cornsnakes don’t naturally live in tropical climates, so I’m trying to create an ecosystem that doesn’t stay too humid. I’m scared it’s going to be.

And, if anybody is a cornsnake specialist, please reassure me that none of what I’ve choose is dangerous for my baby boi (I’ve looked up online it’s supposed to be fine but still).

Thanks a lot, from an anxious first time cornsnake mom 😅
